Did you know that younger people are more likely to have a mental disorder. A recent survey shows 26% of people aged 16-24 and 25% of people aged 25-34 had a disorder compared to 6% of people aged 75-85.
Youth Workers need to be up to speed with all things mental health, and the skills and knowledge required to work through mental health issues with young people need to be constantly refined in todays world.
